PaperArtsy Challenge - Pink & Orange

Hi,

It's a long time since I posted. I have been crafting but not as much as I wanted to. This year I will aim to blog on a more regular basis.

So onto todays post. Paperartsy have a challenge to use Pink & Orange. I decided to use my Elena Zuzinska stamps for the first time. Really had fun making this card and am looking forward to using her stamps again

I didn't realise that I hadn't blogged in so long. I promise I have been crafting.

This is my entry to the PA hearts challenge. It is a Valentines card for my husband. I used Emma's stamps and Freco paints

I think I have overdone the white pen!!

Mothers day card

This is the card that I made my mum for Mothers day using the new Lin Brown stamps and paints, with some Ellen vargo & Sara mixed in the backgound.. I love the owl I can see me using him a lot. I really like how this has turned out and am thinking of creating a canvus in the same colours.

Work Diary 2015

I brought a work diary for myself this year, with the intention of altering it. It has taken me until this weekend to do so. The original diary was black - note to self buy a lighter colour next year, took a few layers of chalk fresco paint to cover.

I used grunge paste through a JoFy stencil, and then painted the diary with Chalk.  I painted some white card with Bougainvillea, Dusty teal, and Guacamole mixed with Limelight. I then used JoFY stamps over the paints, and then out the flowers & leaves.

I then die cut some numbers to make the year and painted with Bougainvillea, I also stamped the small bee from the JoFY new plate.

I am not sure how long it will last in my work bag, but we will see.

I am entering this into the Paperartsy challenge which this time is - paints.

Craft Room

Over on Twitter I was asked to share some updated photos of my craft room, and thought it would be easier to share on here.

 View from the door
My work space  - with an extra large craft mat.
Storage for Tim Holtz and other bits and pieces

My rubber stamp storage
 Dies & punches
Cutting workbeanch - underneath the hugh collection of items to alter! I need to get started on altering it.

Inspired by Sarah - Paperartsy 3UP

Hi,

I was inspired by Sarah's use of crackle glaze and the colour panels that she put underneath - I had only used one colour at a time before, but liked the effect of the different.

You can see her post here.

I used some hearts that have been laying around for a while,

I started of painting my blocks of colour
I actually like the one on the right before I put the second colour of paint over.
A closer look at the cracks, you can see the different colours underneath but again the light is not very good.

I wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope to be back to share more often with you in 2015.

Inspired by Julie Ann - PA 3UP post

Hi,

Back again as promised, this time inspired by Julie Ann's use of shrink plastic. I haven't used this for while and took me a little time to try and find where I had carefully put it away in my craft room.

Again I won't go into details of what I have done as you can find all that over at the Paperartsy blog.

I decided to make some shrink plastic hearts and stamp them with Darcy stamps. Painted with Claret fresco paint.

Sorry for the poor quality of pictures, very bad light here today.
